Vermont Audubon Foresters For the Birds Demonstration Harvest - 2013

Through the  Forest Bird Initiative, Audubon Vermont has been providing technical  assistance and educational opportunities  for forest landowners since  2006.  Along with the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and  Recreation, Audubon Vermont also launched the  Foresters  For the Birds project in 2009, providing trainings and technical tools  for over 100 foresters who are helping to manage forests with birds in  mind.  In 2013, our company  completed a demonstration harvest at the Audubon Vermont Center in  Huntington, VT to showcase some of the practices established in the  Foresters for the Birds Project.
